Serious Treatment That Works With Your Schedule
Intensive care, after hours
Evening IOP is our intensive outpatient program scheduled in the evening: the same clinical depth, the same master’s-level clinicians, the same nine or more structured hours per week, arranged so you can work, study, or care for family during the day. It is not a lighter version of treatment. It is full treatment, scheduled around a real life.
Most people who need intensive treatment never get it for one reason: they cannot disappear from their jobs, their classes, or their children for weeks. Evening IOP removes that barrier. You keep your income, your standing, and your privacy while receiving structured group therapy, individual sessions, psychiatric coordination, and family involvement several evenings per week.
We treat depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, alcohol and drug use, and co-occurring conditions in one coordinated plan. Evening IOP also serves as a natural step down from PHP or residential care, and a step up when weekly therapy is not holding. Many sessions are available virtually, so a late meeting or travel never breaks your consistency.
Who It Fits
Evening IOP is built for

School Stays on Track
College and graduate students who need intensive support without withdrawing from the semester.

Parents and caregivers who carry daytime responsibilities and need treatment that respects them.
Step-Down
After PHP or Residential
A structured landing after higher levels of care that protects progress while normal life resumes.
Step-Up
When Weekly Therapy Is Not Enough
More structure, more hours, and more accountability than counseling alone, without full-day programming.
Integrated
Co-Occurring Conditions
Mental health and substance use treated together in one evening plan, by one coordinated team.
An Evening in the Program
Full intensity, evening hours
Sessions meet several evenings per week on a set schedule. We share current days and times at assessment, and virtual options keep consistency realistic.
Arrive
Check-In & Process Group
The evening opens with a clinical check-in and a clinician-led process group, small enough that you are known by name.
Deepen
Skills & Focused Work
CBT and DBT skills, relapse prevention, and trauma-informed work, with individual and specialty sessions such as EMDR or CSAT-led care scheduled into your week.
Close
Planning & Accountability
Each evening closes with practical planning for the hours between sessions, so treatment follows you home.
Discretion Built In
Privacy that professionals can trust
Evening hours mean no explaining absences, no visible gaps in your calendar, and no waiting room during business hours. Groups are kept thoughtfully small, your privacy is protected under HIPAA, and coordination with anyone outside the practice happens only with your written authorization.
For clients who need an even higher degree of flexibility and privacy, our executive and professional program and the fully customized Individualized Intensive Program build treatment entirely around your circumstances, and recovery mentoring can extend support into daily life.

Common Questions
Evening IOP, answered
If you do not see your question here, call our admissions team at (877) 549-5102 and we will walk you through it.
How much does Evening IOP cost?
Cost reflects the services and cadence in your plan. We are private pay and provide detailed superbills for out-of-network benefits, and we explain everything clearly before you commit to anything.
Do you take insurance for Evening IOP?
We are a private-pay practice. For clients with out-of-network benefits, we provide detailed superbills you can submit to your insurer for possible reimbursement, and we help you verify your benefits before you begin.
What hours does Evening IOP run?
Sessions meet several evenings per week on a set schedule. We share the current days and times during your assessment and confirm the cadence that fits you.
Will Evening IOP fit around a full-time job?
That is exactly what it is built for. You work or study during the day and attend structured treatment in the evening, and many sessions are available virtually for weeks when life gets complicated.
What is an evening intensive outpatient program?
Evening IOP is a full intensive outpatient program scheduled after work hours: nine or more structured clinical hours per week of group therapy, individual sessions, and psychiatric support, while you live at home and keep your daytime responsibilities.
Is Evening IOP as effective as daytime IOP?
It is the same program with the same clinical depth: the same clinicians, group structure, individual therapy, and coordinated plan, scheduled in the evening. What changes is the time of day, not the treatment.
Can I start Evening IOP after residential or PHP?
Yes. Evening IOP is one of the most common step-downs from PHP or residential care. We coordinate the transition so your progress carries forward with the same team and plan.
Does Evening IOP treat mental health, substance use, or both?
Both, together. We treat depression, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, alcohol and drug use, and co-occurring combinations in one coordinated evening plan.
Can Evening IOP be done virtually?
Many Evening IOP groups and sessions are available online, and hybrid schedules are common. We help you find the mix of in-person and virtual care that keeps you consistent.
How long does Evening IOP last?
There is no fixed length. Most clients spend several weeks to a few months at this level, stepping down to weekly outpatient care as they stabilize, with the plan reassessed throughout.
